📢 The Esimde research and discussion platform announces the IV Conference in October 2024.
This year, the focus of the conference is directed (but not limited) to the following topics:
- Collaborations of Central Asian communities of researchers and activists – as a contribution to the development of decolonial processes in the region: research and activist practices/projects highlighting and preserving the memory of forgotten events in Central Asia during the communist and post-communist periods.
- Digital Memory: Approaches and Methods. Documentation, media and databases.
- Looking at the environment and climate change in Central Asia through the lens of decoloniality.
🙌 We are pleased to invite to this conversation all those who study history and memory to the next Esimde IV conference in October 2024.
📤 Those interested in submitting papers for the conference are invited to send their submissions (400-word short abstract) by August 1, 2024 to esimdekg@gmail.com. The languages of the conference are Kyrgyz, English and Russian.
